Hemaisevan seksikäs pörröpää

I can't believe it.
Some biology student from the Turku university somehow wickedly lured me into singing in karaoke... for the first time in my life... ever. I still can't believe it... Wow! Quite a social nietzcshean overcoming here!
I have performed live on stage numerous times before, in front of much bigger crowds, in Finland and Sweden, but I had never sang before... Well, at least I picked a perfect artist and a song for the context (Those of you who know me are probably laughing your asses off at this point...).
I sang Aarne Tenkanen's hit Hemaisevan Seksikäs Pörröpää. To my big surprise I got some raging applause! People were asking me to do the same again. To quote Wesley Willis, the crowd roared like a mountain lion! Some of those oddballs apparently really liked my singing...
No doubt, I have taken a step into a new dimension of galdr.

Rock on, bro!

I sang karaoke for the first time in my life this year also, at my wife's birthday party. Can't say there was much applause, but it was FUN!

I'm gonna ask for an encore of _Hemaisevan seksikäs pörröpää_ the next time you arrange your lecture + karaoke festival set. ;)

Dear Friends,

thanks for your comments! :)

Yeah, it was fun and a great experience. I think something of my reichian "character armour" dropped to the floor when I held that microphone :)

The yezidis used to say, hand a man a phallic symbol and he will sing!! ;)

I think you've got great potential as a performance artist, loads of fire and charisma. Once those armors start falling off you rock the multiverse with that Fresh Fever that falls through you from the Sky!

I think the way you mix the transcendental with the flesh and socializing balances you well and will keep Joy at your heart even with all the hard Diamonds growing there and demanding things of you.

I'm buying tickets already to see the next step!

I'm coming there soon, so hopefully we can arrange Tapio's next gig then. Who knows, maybe we perform the infamous Pipemen's first gig then? But it got to be something else than Tenkanen! :-)

Rock on and

Petri, thanks for your kind words... and for a good laugh from the yezidi note :D It reminded me of some Lao Tze-aphorisms that I made up myself few years ago :)

Ensio, I'm looking forward to seeing you soon. The pipemen definitely need to have a performance of some sort then. If it would be karaoke, what it would be? (if not Tenkanen :)

Something like Tenkanen meets Skidrow with a lot of smoke duet? ;)

That moment must have been one of those "The Most Fabulous Event" -experiences that sometimes occur in one's life... Perhaps you will sing it again next time we record your audiobook? Can hardly wait for it...

I was of course thinking about galdor and then maybe Irish folk song The Wild Rover-sort of thing...

I've played the Wild Rover for many a year
And I've spent all my money on whiskey and beer...

Petri, you owe me a beer for that...;-)
