Into the crypt of rays

Some things endure the test of time. I witnessed one of them from my past the last Sunday. Uhh!

I will never forget the Celtic Frost gig at the Tuska festival. They were all I needed to see there and certainly were worth waiting for! It just shows that they still have got "it" and can kick ass seriously!! UUUHHH! :-) Both their old and new songs are haunting me all through the summer, making summer the greatest time for years. Thank you guys and also a humble thank you to those who were so kind to let us ride with them in their car, Niko and Satu. The trip to Hell-sinki indeed built the whole atmosphere up as well. All in all a perfect day.

TO MEGA THERION!!!!! Still Old-school rules! UUUHHH...from Oslo.

Yeah, they ruled, even in the festival setting...! Celtic Frost have aged very well indeed, I guess the 15-year break was worth it.

The only "complaint" I could think of would be they only played 2 songs from the new album. But maybe next time! ;-)

Sunny greetings to Grete too! :-)

Celtic Frost put out the most theatrical performance there, but also the one that worked best. At least for most old schoolers who knew the old songs. The younger generation seemed to think it was ok, too, but some were a little annoyed by the fuss CF made of itself, although none could deny their legendary status.

Great gig, I loved it! UHHH! :)

Thanks for the comments.

If Anton LaVey was right, I will still be playing this stuff to my half-deaf ears in addition to Pandora, Wesley Willis and other great stuff when I am 90-years old :-)

I agree with Niko - they should have played more stuff from the new album (and skipped more stuff from _Pandenomium_), I was particularly missing _A Dying God Coming into Human Flesh_.

All in all, a magnificent gig from the legends.
